Megane has unveiled a new upgraded version of one of its most popular 'hot hatch' models.
The Megane Renaultsport 265 is available in two versions - the stripped-back Cup edition or a more luxurious standard model.
The Cup version features stiffened suspension and upgraded brakes.
The Cup model is due to appear in showrooms from April costing £24,825, while the range-topping 265 is priced at £26,025.
The 265 tag refers to the car's improved horsepower, which is accompanied by an increase in torque of 15lb.ft.
Capable of 0-62mph in just six seconds, the car's top speed has been raised to an impressive 158mph.
Owners of the 265 can also increase their fuel economy by up to 5% thanks to the Renaultsport Dynamic Management system, which allows them to switch into a lower 250hp power mode.
New extras available for 2012 include a Red Design Pack adding colour to the car's paintwork, along with a rear parking camera.
The Visio system - first seen on the Scenic - is also available for the 265, to warn drivers if they cross a white line without indicating.
