McLaren has confirmed the final specification details of its upcoming sports car - the MP4-12C.
The high performance vehicle manufacturer said the new car uses a carbonfibre chassis to bring down the overall weight of the model to 1434kg - nearly the same as a compact saloon.
The model comes equipped with a 3.8-litre petrol V8 powerplant fitted with twin turbochargers to deliver 592bhp and 443lb.ft of torque.
Top speed of the MP4-12C, which is McLaren's second road car, is 205mph, and it can reach 62mph from rest in 3.1 seconds and 124mph in 8.9 seconds, while the braking system of the vehicle allows a driver to achieve 124mph to 0mph in just 403ft.
The car offers a fuel economy of 24.2mpg combined and C02 emissions of 279g/km.
Other features include hydraulic suspension designed to eliminate roll, an airbrake for better deceleration and a Brake Steer system to lower understeer.
The McLaren MP4-12C, which is being produced at McLaren's Technology Centre in Woking, goes on sale in late Spring, with a base price of £168,500.
