Mazda has updated its used-car programme to include an online search facility which also lets buyers look for used vehicles on their mobiles phones.
Franchise dealers will be able to purchase cars online using the new Mazda Approved Used Cars programme, while potential buyers can browse the virtual showroom on the company's website for vehicles. Even the Mazda Financial Services can now be accessed online.
Michael Stewart, fleet and used-car marketing manager for Mazda UK, said: "These days, 25% of all web browsing originates via a mobile device and this trend is growing.
"It is therefore extremely important that Mazda invests in cutting-edge web-enabled capability."
Mr Stewart added: "For many people, mobile phones provide access to websites, so it is equally important that our stock of Mazda used cars is accessible from such hand-held devices and consumers can liaise directly with our dealers.
"The whole system is totally interactive giving customers access to all used vehicles in the Mazda network and photographs of those cars. Would-be buyers who cannot find the exact specification of vehicle they are looking for can contact their local dealer directly online."
