South Korean carmaker Kia Motors has said it will show off its new Sportage SUV at the Geneva Motor Show next month.
The third generation model will include a larger, more comfortable interior, a longer wheelbase and superior ride quality compared to its previous incarnations.
Kia said it plans a UK release of the new Sportage in a range of petrol and disease engines later in 2010, following design overhauls already seen on Kia's revised Cee'd, new Sorento and newly released Venga models.
Michael Cole, managing director of Kia Motors UK, expects big things from the new compact crossover SUV.
"Sportage was the car that really made the breakthrough for Kia in Europe and the all-new version will make people sit up and take notice just as the original did," he said.
"I am convinced it will begin a remarkable new chapter in the Kia story."
