A man has found a parking ticket he received back in 1953 and insists he will pay the fine.
Dale Crawford, from Houston, Texas in the US, said he wrote to city officials informing them of the discovery and that, although the amount is "small, almost unnoticeable", he will still be paying up.
He said he was given the ticket on February 3 1953, the same day on which he joined the US Army.
Mr Crawford had left his car at the military induction station and revealed that his father was late in picking up the car, so it received a parking ticket.
City mayor Annise Parker said she will meet Mr Crawford to receive the payment personally and thank him "for setting an example to others" who owe similar debts.
