Olympic long jump hopeful JJ Jegede has bolstered his efforts to qualify for London 2012 after successfully leaping over three Minis.
At a launch event for the Mini London 2012 Edition in the capital, the England champion sailed six metres over the roofs of the three cars.
Hopefully the Minis were covered bycar insurance in case JJ didn't make the distance and damaged the paint work, or worse.
He said afterwards that he was relieved the challenge went off without a hitch, although the distance he was required to clear was far short of the personal best of 8.04 metres he achieved earlier this year.
JJ, who is currently training in Newcastle, is confident he can cover the extra 16cm which would see him qualify for the Olympic Games next year.
He hopes to iron out the "few niggles" he had this season and is happy with the way his training is progressing.
"I know I can make the 8.20 distance, it's just about making my runway consistent. So next year I don't want to be injured, as long as I'm healthy I trust that I can jump the distance," he said.
