London has been crowned the world's best city for taxis in a survey by Hotels.com.
The capital came out on top in five out of seven categories in the poll, which canvassed the opinions of over 2,600 adults across 30 nations.
London taxis beat those in New York, Tokyo and Berlin to the overall prize.
Drivers were seen as the friendliest, having the cleanest cabs and best local knowledge, and being the safest and most skilful. However, UK travellers did criticise cabbies for taking the scenic route.
New York and Bangkok offer best value for money, while cabs in the American city are easier to catch than anywhere else.
Hotels.com also found out the oddest items left in taxis, which included a prosthetic leg, an ex-boyfriend and a bird in a cage.
The most popular activity in taxis is texting or emailing, followed by sleeping, eating and kissing.
