Lexus has showcased its redesigned luxury GS model which comes with a host of performance and design upgrades.
Driving dynamics appear to have been the main focus of Lexus engineers this time with the new GS boasting features designed to improve stability, handling and efficiency.
Its overall aerodynamic design enables greater efficiency even at high speeds. The streamlined body features lines either side of the grille and fins around the corners of rear lights to control air flow.
The new GS boast a tougher frame with spot and laser welds in "very specific locations" to improve strength.
Widened tracks allow for smoother cornering, while changes have been made to the suspension system to improve the overall feel of the car.
According to the car maker the GS will be among the first to feature "the new face of Lexus", central to which is a wide body and a "spindle" grille.
Lexus, which previewed the new model ahead of next month's Frankfurt Motor Show, said the design elements will be carried on to future cars.
