A historic Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Coupe once owned by the legendary John Lennon is going under the hammer on February 5.
The iconic car, which will be the main attraction at theBonhams auction, was the first the singer purchased after he passed his driving test in 1965.
The Ferrari is expected to fetch between 120,000 euros (£99,987) and 170,000 euros (£141,000) at the sale in Paris next month.
Philip Norman, the star's biographer, has revealed how car dealers crowded around the Beatle's home offering him a "gleaming smorgasbord" of lavish cars soon after they received news that he had passed his test.
However, in spite of the wide range of choices set before him, he found the Ferrari to be most fitting, and bought it for a price of £2,000. It was later joined by a psychedelic looking Rolls-Royce.
While these luxury brands might be out of most people's price range in terms of running costs andcar insurance premiums, fans can perhaps aspire to own a Mini like the star.
