Land Rover is set to unveil the new Defender concept at the Frankfurt Motor Show.
Still working on the final design of the Land Rover DC100 concept, the manufacturer said that it will take four years for the production version to be completely ready.
The new version is based on the iconic Land Rover Defender that is known for its reliability and ruggedness.
Gerry McGovern, Director of Design, Land Rover said: "Replacing the iconic Defender is one of the biggest challenges in the automotive design world; it is a car that inspires people worldwide."
He added: "This isn't a production-ready concept but the beginning of a four-year journey to design a relevant Defender for the 21st century."
