Lampard has driving ban reduced

Footballer and banned driver Frank Lampard could be back behind the wheel as early as this after a court reduced his 90-day driving ban for speeding to 60 days.

A Guildford Crown Court official said an application to minimise the sentence was allowed at a hearing on Thursday.

The Chelsea and England midfielder was caught driving his Range Rover at 91mph on the A3 at Claygate in Surrey in March last year.

He pleaded guilty to exceeding the area's 50mph speed limit at Staines Magistrates' Court in March this year and was banned from driving for 90 days.

Lampard was not present at the hearing at Guildford Crown Court.
