Lamborghini Huracan now a licensed taxi in Wolverhampton

The City of Wolverhampton Council has approved a taxi licence for a Lamborghini Huracan, reported the Birmingham Mail this week.

The £200,000, neon green supercar can reach top speeds of 202mph - though you'll be lucky to get past 20mph if you take it on the M6 during rush hour.

The Huracan is the first car of its kind to be issued with a private hire cab licence, according to the council.

You'll be fast off the blocks with a 0-60 of 3.2 seconds thanks to its five-litre, 610 horsepower engine.

City firm Special Wedding Cars registered the luxury sports car with the council and it can now be booked for any journey. Though if you're popping to the pub you might want to check your budget as the car costs £349 per hour.

It also only has two seats, so you won't be able to share the fare with your mates.

Wolverhampton City Council tweeted: "We've just licensed the first super car as a private hire cab in the UK."

On its website Special Wedding Cars claims the Lamborghini Huracan "never fails to capture hearts and minds".
