Kia has added a series of high-end models to its roster and made automatic transmission more widely available on the Picanto and Rio in a bid to continue its sales surge in the UK.
The Sorento 'KX-4' emerges as the brand's new flagship thanks to various luxury additions, including a Parallel Park Assist feature that monitors parking spaces via 10 sensors before automatically operating the steering wheel to park the vehicle in the available space.
Meanwhile the pro_cee'd has also been given a makeover, with the 'SE Tech' the most luxuriously equipped incarnation of the popular three-door hatchback. At a price of £22,795 it is available exclusively with a 1.6-litre 126bhp CRDi turbodiesel engine and six-speed manual gearbox.
Economy and performance figures are identical to the pro_cee'd 'SE' fitted with the same engine, as is the car insurance category which is group 13.
Elsewhere the range-topping five-door Picanto '4' adds several new premium features while maintaining what was offered on the Picanto '3', while the five-door Picanto '3' Automatic incorporates the four-speed automatic transmission that was only previously available on the three-door Picanto White and five-door Picanto '2'.
A smart key with engine start button and black leather upholstery are among the luxury additions to the new top-of-the-range Rio '4', while the Rio '3' Automatic - also available only as a five-door model - matches the standard equipment of other Rio '3' versions minus the ISG engine stop/start system fitted to manual-gearbox models.
