Kevin Pietersen has been fined for speeding in a loaned Lamborghini near Melbourne.
The England cricketer has been fined A$239 (around £150) for driving the vehicle at more than 120kmh (75mph) in a zone where one can speed only up to 100kmh (62mph).
The 30-year-old, who took the drive along the Great Ocean Road on a break from training before a tour match against Victoria in Melbourne on Friday, was declared man of the match for scoring 227 in England's Test win at Adelaide.
Shane Warne, Pietersen's former Hampshire team mate, had arranged for the Ashes star to have an opportunity to drive a Lamborghini for a day, an Italian supercar for which Warne is a publicity ambassador.
Excited about the prospect, Pietersen tweeted on Wednesday that he was looking forward to the drive.
Before he was fined, he had typed on Twitter: "Stunning beaches on The Great Ocean Rd.. Gorgeous drive."
AnEngland and Wales Cricket Board spokesman said about Pietersen: "He did pick up a speeding fine."
However, England will not take any disciplinary action against him over the incident.
