Kardashian pursuit sparks road jams

Traffic on a packed Los Angeles road came to a standstill after reality star Kim Kardashian was stopped for speeding.

Kardashian, who recently gave birth to her first child with rapper fiance Kanye West, was pulled over by police after trying to flee paparazzi.

The incident caused chaos on the freeway as photographers jumped out of their cars and left them in the middle of the road while they rushed to get a snap of her being handed a ticket.

Such long queues of traffic on the busy road are usually only caused by avehicle breakdown or accident, so drivers were bemused to find out the delays had on this occasion been down to the pursuit of an unusually camera-shy celebrity.

Police did attempt to take action against the photographers for their car abandonment, but TMZ.com reported that they only managed to fine one for speeding before the rest managed to get away.

Speaking of the incident on Twitter, Kardashian said: "Yesterday 4 cars boxed me in. One in front, behind, and one on each side just to have me drive at their speed so they can snap through the window. Its (sic) really so scary what they are legally allowed to get away with!"

In June, the reality star had a similar run-in with photographers who were tailing her every move in cars, accusing them of putting her life and that of her unborn daughter at risk.
