A man has been jailed for 20 weeks after causing more than £9,000 of damage to Jamiroquai frontman Jay Kay's Ferrari Enzo.
Ipswich Crown Court heard that Aaron Billington, 21, became incensed when he saw a girl he was "emotionally attached" to accompany the star to his hotel room in Aldeburgh, Suffolk.
Witnesses saw Billington pelting the £1 million car with stones. Damage included £2,500 for the windscreen, £700 for the driver's side window and £3,500 to polish the paintwork.
Jay Kay, whose car insurance excess was £10,000, also had to pay £370 to have the car recovered.
Pastry chef Billington was jailed for 20 weeks after previously admitting criminal damage, failing to answer bail and leaving bed and breakfast accommodation and an Indian restaurant without paying.
Referring to Jay Kay`s "pride and joy", Judge David Goodin said: "It was a spiteful offence, striking it quite deliberately to cause distress to him because of your own anger or irritation, no doubt exacerbated by the amount you'd had to drink."
