Jaguar is pulling out all the stops for the launch of its all-new XF.
The luxury automaker has enlisted the help of expert stuntman Jim Dowdell to announce the mid-size premium saloon to the world in a daring high-wire water crossing.
Dowdell, who has performed dramatic action stunts in movies like James Bond, Bourne and Indiana Jones, will be behind the wheel as the XF drives across two 34mm diameter wires suspended high above water.
The date of its extraordinary journey in London, 24 March, is one week ahead of its public motor show debut in New York.
Jaguar bosses have devised the stunt to demonstrate the XF's lightweight construction. It is the second model to use the company's advanced aluminium-intensive construction methods, which keeps weight to a minimum.
The stunt - a world first - will be streamed live on Jaguar's website from 7pm onwards for those unable to attend the event in person.
