Hyundai has announced the exact details and price of its New Generation Santa Fe SUV, which launches in the UK in October.
The 2.2-litre CRDi Style 2WD model is available from October 15 and costs from £25,495 OTR, with Hyundai Motor UK President and CEO Tony Whitehorn hoping that the model will continue to prove as popular as ever.
"Globally Hyundai has decided to keep the Santa Fe nameplate as it has, and continues to be a hugely popular product with customers and is synonymous with the Hyundai brand," he said.
The Santa Fe has sold 37,500 units in the UK since it was first unveiled in 2001, and 2011 was the second most successful year for sales of the model, with 4,200 sold in total.
That represented a third of the total Santa Fe sales across Europe last year and Hyundai is hoping that the New Generation Santa Fe, which is made in South Korea, will be an even bigger success with better refinement, interior quality and technology.
"We know that Santa Fe buyers are amongst our most loyal customers and it is their feedback that has helped to shape the new model," said Mr Whitehorn.
"We think that the New Generation Santa Fe will not only appeal to existing customers with its fresh design and improved levels of standard technology, but will attract a new range of buyers looking for a stylish, premium and authentic SUV."
