Honda has announced details of its latest hybrid model, which is scheduled to be made available in the UK early next year.
The new Jazz Hybrid, which will make its debut at the Paris Motor Show next month, boasts a 64.2mpg economy figure.
According to the Japanese motor firm, the Jazz is the first B-segment car sporting hybrid technology. The model is based on Honda's earlier hybrid vehicles.
It features a petrol-electric set-up, in which the electric motor supports the petrol engine when required.
Those who buy 'greener' vehicles may be able to find cheapercar insurance deals with some firms.
The latest Jazz keeps the conventional 'Magic Seats' feature and its trademark 831 litres of load space.
Sporting a 104g/km CO2 rating, it is expected to attract both private buyers as well as company car drivers.
The company is yet to announce the pricing details of the new vehicle.
