EcoForecourt, the online green car retailer, has teamed up with the Gumball 3000 rally to showcase a range of eco-friendly production and concept models.
At the starting grid of the supercar rally Covent Garden on May 26, EcoForecourt will set up a display of cars including the Peugeot EX1 and Racing Green Endurance team's cross continental Radical SR-0.
According to EcoForecourt founder James Walker, their aim is to showcase the rapid shift towards greener motoring technologies and promote the wider adoption eco transport.
He said: "There is no getting away from going green, the industry is evolving this way out of necessity.
"This years event will highlight some exciting cars that motorists might not associate with being green. Teaming up with Gumball allows us to develop the much needed street-cred of eco cars into something exciting and aspirational."
Participants at the 2011 Gumball 3000 Rally will travel through several European locations, including making a stopover at this year's F1 Monaco Grand Prix, before crossing the finishing line in Istanbul.
