One of the latest vehicles in the Volkswagen range has been judged among the safest cars in the world.
The new Golf SV has been awarded five stars from independent safety experts Euro NCAP - which praises the German car for its robust vehicle body structure, effective seat belts, seats and airbags.
The SV, an upgrade on the popular Golf Plus model, also comes with a range of driver assistance systems; including adaptive distance monitoring, intelligent headlights and an emergency braking system for use in towns and cities.
There are four categories which are measured by Euro NCAP - occupant protection for both adults and children, pedestrian protection and safety assistance.
The Golf SV also features VW's Blind Spot Sensor which will warn drivers of vehicles in their blind spot and Rear Traffic Alert, which assists drivers while reversing.
