George Michael has been jailed for eight weeks after admitting he was under the influence of cannabis when he crashed his Range Rover.
The 47-year-old pop star was found slumped in his car with two cannabis cigarettes on him. tests also showed chemicals associated with the drug in his system. The former Wham! frontman first aroused suspicion among police officers when he appeared "spaced out" with no memory of what had happened.
Having already been convicted for the same offence once before, the singer might be dealt another blow when he sees how this will affect hiscar insurance.
Michael was jailed on Tuesday September 14 after appearing at London's Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court for sentencing, having pleaded guilty at the same court in August.
