A new multi-million pound transport scheme is set to benefit motorists in Norwich while helping to create more than 5,000 new jobs in the area.
The Department for Transport is committing up to £19 million to enlarge the A47's junction at Postwick to the east of Norwich, local transport minister Baroness Kramer has announced.
The improvements will help the Broadland Business Park expand and see the development of the new Broadland Gate Business Park, as well as enabling 600 new homes to be built in the area.
Baroness Kramer said the funding would boost Norwich's infrastructure and help the local economy grow.
She added: "This major road improvement is great news for Norwich, with fantastic benefits for local people including new homes and the creation of thousands of new jobs.
"The £19 million we are putting into this project will greatly boost the infrastructure Norwich needs to help the local economy grow."
