Italian car maker Fiat has incorporated Euro 5 engines to its Panda city-car range.
The addition of the Euro 5 engine to the line-up enables the eco-friendly cars to achieve improved top speed, stronger acceleration, better fuel consumption and lower CO2 emissions.
The new engines have been introduced to some selected models which include Panda 1.2 Active, 1.2 MyLife, 1.2 Dynamic and the diesel 1.3 MultiJet Dynamic.
Fiat's new 69bhp 1.2-litre petrol engine replaces the Panda's previous entry-level 1.1-litre petrol unit. It is capable of pushing the car to 62mph in 13.4 seconds with a maximum speed of 101mph.
Fuel economy in the combined cycle is 57.6mpg, with carbon dioxide emissions measured at 113g/km.
The 1.3-litre diesel model has a combined fuel economy of 67.3mpg and emissions of 109g/km. Its 0-62mph acceleration is 13.1 seconds and the top speed is 103mph.
