A former director of the Eddie Stobart haulage empire has been granted unconditional bail in relation to a drink-driving charge.
The case against Edward Stobart was adjourned until Friday to allow the barrister of the 55-year-old to prepare a defence.
Mr Stobart, a son of the transport giant's founder, Eddie Stobart, did not appear at Stratford-upon-Avon Magistrates' Court in Warwickshire, which dealt with the application in his absence, and no plea was entered.
Mr Stobart, of Ettington, south Warwickshire, was arrested by police in the early hours of April 17.
