Next Green Car may have the solution to alleviate concerns about the 100-mile driving range of electric cars.
The green car guide has launched the new Zap Map, a map showing electric car charging points across the UK.
Next Green Car's Zap-Map has already mapped 752 points and also shows drivers the street view, different types of charger (slow, fast, rapid), pricing, parking and access details.
It is predicted that an estimated 3,500 charging points will be available in the UK by the end of the year.
The Zap-Map database will be updated by Next Green Car as new points come along in order to make sure that the map is always up to date.
Melanie Shufflebotham of Next Green Car commented: "There is a good deal of talk about the lack of on-street charging points being a key constraint to the take-up of electric cars. Clearly more points need to be installed but at least with Next Green Car's Zap-Map consumers and businesses can come to a single source to find a charging point on their route."
