Actor Danny Dyer has revealed he encountered people mistaking him for a cab driver as he filmed Run For Your Wife.
The 35-year-old juggles two wives playing a black cab driver in the comedy, which also stars singer Sarah Harding and Denise Van Outen.
Dyer was spotted while shooting in London and was asked if he had given up on his acting career. The hard man admitted the suggestions that he had failed in acting hurt.
Dyer said at the film's premiere in Leicester Square: "They had to do some shots of me driving around Soho in the cab and people was like pulling me over and going, 'Dan, I know your career's going through a bit of a bad stage, but are you driving a cab now?'
"People actually believed it. It was a bit of a kick in the bum, to be honest."
Despite the blows to his ego, Dyer is confident people will take to him in his new role.
"I loved making this film. I think I was born for comedy, I really do. It's just taken me a long time to find it," he added.
