TV dragon Duncan Bannatyne has said "I'm in" on a new eco-friendly BMW sports car worth £115,000.
The celebrity tycoon has invested in a hybrid i8. The German-built model employs a part-petrol, part-electric hybrid system which sees incredible performance combine with ultra-low exhaust discharges.
And, because it comes with BMW's trademark reliability, Bannatyne is unlikely to see much of his breakdown cover operatives. What makes his purchase particularly convenient is that electric charging stations have been fitted at his health club chain's Darlington base.
A growing amount of his club's members are reportedly following his example and using eco-friendly motors.
Bannatyne, 65, joked that the i8 will do nothing to damage his CV when it comes to succeeding Daniel Craig as James Bond.
His BMW features a futuristic dashboard, gullwing doors, a stylish exterior, and interior materials which are recyclable.
Bannatyne, who called the BMW's eco-friendly system "superb" joked: "This car certainly attracts attention and won't harm my pitch to be the next James Bond in any way!"
