Details of Skoda's new Fabia vRS, which is set to come on to the market in July, have now been released by the Czech manufacturer.
For a price of between £15,700 and £16,495, owners will get a 1.4 TSI 180bhp petrol engine with a seven-speed DSG dual clutch transmission.
Other standard features include ESP (Electronic Stability Programme), HHC (Hill Hold Control) and XDS (Electronic Differential System). On top of these are 17in alloy wheels, LED lights for daylight and an RS body kit.
As for vital statistics, manufacturers say the car reaches 62mph in 7.3 seconds, with a top speed of 139mph. There is also a choice between the hatchback and the estate, which has a top speed of 140mph.
Customers can choose from a range of colours, including Rallye Green inspired by the company's rally car, and an optional black or white roof.
On the inside, the car has sports seats, a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel with radio controls and paddles for changing gear and MDI (Multi-Device Interface) for use with iPods and other mp3 players.
