"There has never been a better time to buy a new car" is the message as manufacturers announce a raft of deals to tempt back customers after the recent slump in sales.
Among the big names offering interest-free finance are Toyota, Honda, Peugeot and Vauxhall, while some online dealers are even offering buy one, get one free bargains.
Many of the offers call for customers to lay down a large sum up front, though Vauxhall is offering the 0% deal on selected Vectra and Corsa models with no deposit whatsoever.
Richard Headland, editor of Which? Car magazine, said: "There's never been a better time to get a discount on a new car, in recent memory, if you have got savings that you want to spend or can get finance.
"You have got to play dealers off against each other and always look at online brokers, whether you intend to buy from them or not, then go and haggle with your dealer."
The deals include interest-free credit on Toyota Auris and Verso models for customers with a deposit of at least 50%, and a 0% finance offer for two years on 2008 Civic models for customers with 35% deposits until Thursday.
Meanwhile, online dealer Broadspeed has announced the almost-impossible-to-believe offer of two Kia cars for the price of one.
