Fans of the late Princess of Wales are expected to push the price for the number plate 'D1ANA' close to £100,000 when it goes to auction on Tuesday.
The unique lot is one among many at a special Coys auction arranged to toast the firm's 90th anniversary.
The showcase will also feature around 60 cars and famous guitars from the world of rock and pop.
The sale, to be held at the Royal Horticultural Halls in London, will also include car memorabilia and sporting guns.
Among the cars being offered is a 2004 Ferrari Enzo; a 2005 Koenigsegg CCR; a 1969 AC 428 Frua with only two previous owners; a 1963 Porsche 356B Cabriolet; and a 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwing - which could fetch as much as £350,000.
Coys managing director Chris Routledge said: "We are starting to come out of the doom and gloom of the recession and there is every indication that people are looking for that extra-special Christmas present."
