A Cambridgeshire man who raises money for charity by riding his motorbike dressed as a Viking is back on the roads after recovering from a crash.
Former oil rig worker, Mark Slater, from Peterborough, suffered neck injuries in the accident last year. His Yamaha Virago 535 was also destroyed
The 49-year-old thought then he would not be able get back on the saddle as a "Viker Biker" again. But the father-of-three has found himself a new vehicle, as well as a stronger armour, and is back cruising the roads in his costume.
Mr Slater said: "I had the accident in November. I hurt my neck and my bike was absolutely wrecked. I wasn't sure what to do.
"But I've got a Yamaha DragStar XVS 1100 which I've nicknamed Thor - and I've got my confidence back. I'm still a bit sore but I'm on the road again."
