The Vauxhall Corsa has been named the country's best-selling used car.
The Corsa replaced the Vauxhall Astra in the second-hand car sales index for 2009, figures from information services company Experian confirmed. The Astra fell to the third spot that belonged to the Corsa in 2008.
The Ford Fiesta, the Ford Focus and the Volkswagen maintained their second, fourth and fifth positions respectively.
The Peugeot 206 was the new entry in this year's table.
Other cars in the top ten list include BMW 3 series (in sixth position), Ford Mondeo (7), Renault Clio (8) and Vauxhall Vectra (9).
Mark Nuttall, Experian's automotive business general manager, said: "As our analysis shows, affordable smaller vehicles have managed to appeal again to motorists, with the Corsa overtaking all the other cars to become the nation's favourite used car."
