Demand for four-wheel drive cars has increased as people attempt to get get back to a "normal" routine during the cold snap, a used-car trading website has said.
Carcraft says it believes that more people are looking to purchase SUVs as drivers struggle to get around day-to-day with ice and snow covering roads across the UK.
Sales director Mike Walsh said: "We've seen a move to 4x4 vehicles for a few weeks now.
"The extraordinary weather we're having just seems to have accelerated things. People simply need to get to work and lead their normal lives – a 4x4 lets you do that."
Part exchange deals, availability of finance and a range of more than 4,000 SUVs are also helping push up sales, Carcraft said.
