A 2003 Ferrari, previously owned by music legend Eric Clapton and radio presenter Chris Evans, was sold for £60,500 at the Silverstone Auctions' inaugural sale in Northamptonshire.
The 575M Maranello, which had just covered 10,000 miles, was bought by a private buyer on July 23.
The yellow car was bought new by the legendary guitarist, who signed its service book, and later sold it to Chris Evans.
Custom-built for Clapton, the car has a unique colour combination of Giallo Fly with Nero Daytona leather.
It went under the hammer alongside a host of classic road and competition cars at the auction.
Towcester auctioneer Jonathan Humbert said the rare Maranello attracted strong pre-sale interest and bidders contested keenly for the car both in the room and online.
