Childs 'lucky to be alive' after incident

A former 'The Only Way Is Essex' star has thanked fans for messages of support after an accident in her car.

Amy Childs says she is "lucky to be alive" after the incident in her Range Rover - which flipped onto its roof.

Police say they were called to the scene in east London amid reports that a car had over-turned. A spokesman says it is thought the car collided with some traffic lights, although the inquiry is at an early stage and investigations are still ongoing.

The police spokesman adds that no-one has been arrested in connection with the incident and no injuries have been reported.

Childs first hit the nation's TV screens in TOWIE in 2010 but has branched out with her own boutique and perfume since leaving the show a year later.

Childs later tweeted: "God was definitely watching down on me."
