Youngsters with an artistic flair are being offered the chance to help customise their 'rides' by designing a cover for car seats.
Bicycle and car parts firm Halfords has teamed up with car seat manufacturer Maxi-Cosi to launch the competition, aimed at children between the ages of three and 12.
The competition has three entry categories: 3-5 years of age; 6-7 years; and 8-12 years, and the winner in each category will receive a customised Maxi-Cosi Rodi XR child car seat manufactured with their own cover design at the company's factory in Holland.
The competition runs until the end of June and two runners-up will also walk away with a standard Maxi-Cosi Rodi XR.
Pam Prentice, from the Child Accident Prevention Trust, said: "This competition is a great way to highlight to parents the fact that using car seats for all children under 135 cm (4"5) and under 12 is the law - as well as being safer for children."
Sara Cooksley, product manager of Halfords, added that children will have the chance to design and win a truly unique car seat that will take them through to their 12th birthday.
