Never mind its spaciousness, strength and technology - motorists should buy the new Berlingo MPV because it is 'cheerful', according to Citroen.
The French manufacturer says its practicality; comfortable ride and three-seat second row seating arrangement make the Berlingo Multispace a cheerful vehicle.
If 675 litres of boot space isn't enough, the van-like Berlingo has van-like carrying capacity of 3,000 litres when the back seats are stowed away.
Based on the Berlingo panel van, the Multispace has storage compartments in its ceiling, several hidden drawers and a tailgate window that opens.
Not only is the Berlingo full of cheer, but Citroen says it is a friendly and tough vehicle too. It has made the interior of the car quieter and has gravel protection underneath.
It isn't short or tech either. Parking is assisted by sensors and the front and rear, drivers and passenger can use the Bluetooth connectivity and buyers can opt for navigation and smartphone Mirror Screen systems.
Citroen Assistance provides free breakdown cover for a year.
The range of engines available in the Berlingo start with a 74bhp unit and end with a 118bhp version. Depending on the engine the MPV delivers fuel economy from 64.2mpg to 68.9mpg. They emit between 109g/km and 115g/km of CO2.
