Changes to the new Toyota Prius

The all new Toyota Prius has seen a number of improvements, both in appearance and performance.

Toyota promise that the 2012 version will be of a higher quality with a new front end, while the standard kit list has been upgraded as well.

Aesthetically, the outside of the car sees its nose styling updated. Inside, there are new front seats, new upholstery and soft-touch materials that give a higher-quality feel.

A large touch screen comes as standard with all models and with T-Spirit models consumers are treated to Touch & Go satellite navigation as well.

Bluetooth connectivity, a USB input port and a reversing camera are all now options, with the function of also allowing connection to the internet via a mobile phone and access to Google local search functions.

Stiffness in the bodyshell has been increased in specific locations while, in an attempt to increase steering feel, the suspension and steering column have been modified.

Advanced LED headlights are now on all Top-spec T-Spirit models, while all versions have power folding, heated door mirrors. An additional 20mm has been added to the car's length, but this has not affected the efficient aerodynamics of the car.
