Car 'top listening spot for music'

Britons most enjoy listening to music when driving, new research has suggested.

Spanish car maker Seat said 38% of the people it questioned cited the car as their favourite place to play music.

The study found that the average Briton spends two hours tuned in to music every day, with around 14% citing the living room as their top listening spot and 11% the bedroom.

A eclectic mix of classic and new songs from various genres make up the list of 50 favourite songs of digital music listeners. Among them is Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody which was voted for by 42% of people.

The catalogue consists of music released over five decades and features artists ranging from Rolling Stones and The Verve to Maroon 5 and Katy Perry.

The top 50 list was chosen from among 600 tracks which Seat picked out from various online music portals and forums.
