Car sale helped fund charities

British Car Auctions (BCA) has helped raise hundreds of pounds for cancer charities through the sale of a limited-edition 'Pink Passion' Smart FourTwo car.

The sale was organised by the vehicle auction specialist in collaboration with car dealer Fred Andy.

The event - held at BCA's Blackbushe centre - helped raise cash for Breast Cancer Research as well as the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign, which supports cancer treatment, research and care.

A total of £1,500 was donated to the charities - which included £500 from the sale and a sum of £250 from BCA. Also, further fund-raising by Mr Andy generated £750.

BCA spokesman Tim Naylor said: "We were delighted to work with Fred Andy to help raise this considerable sum to be shared with the Royal Marsden Cancer Campaign and Breast Cancer Research."
