Ford's Fiesta ST has beaten a wealth of competition to be crowned TopGear Magazine Car of the Year 2013.
The hot hatch - which even finished ahead of the £866,000 McLaren P1 supercar - was praised for its drivability, practicality and favourable price tag.
From £16,995 on-the-road, the Fiesta ST certainly represents value for money.
"A car that invigorates, excites and rekindles some of the love you thought you'd lost for the simple stuff," wrote the magazine, which revealed it was a unanimous choice.
"A car that puts a smile on your face each and every day. It's the most enjoyable car of 2013."
The Fiesta ST also won the Hot Hatch of the Year title and follows on from last year's Ford victor, the acclaimed Focus ST.
Elsewhere in the list of winners, announced in the latest January 2014 issue, the new generation Hyundai i10 has been chosen as TopGear's 'Bargain of the Year.'
And despite not being launched in the UK until next month, Citroen's New Grand C4 Picasso has been named the stylish 7-seater 'Family Car of the Year'.
