CAP reveals top value-holding cars

A new poll has named the top 10 cars to have retained the most value over a three-year period and after 37,000 miles of running.

According to the survey carried out by industry experts CAP, the Toyota Landcruiser 3.0D-4D Invincible has emerged as the top in a list of vehicles that retain the most value after they are used.

The car's reliability and toughness has helped it to keep 72.2% of its value over three years in the used-car market.

The Ford Kuga 2.0 TDCi, Audi Q5 2.0 TDI and Porsche Cayenne were placed in second, third and fourth places respectively as the models managed to retain more than 70% of their value.

Volvo's XC60 has kept 68.1% of its value and received the fifth place.

In sixth and seventh positions, the Fiat 500 1.2 and Suzuki Jimny held on to 67.6% and 66.3% of their value respectively.

As these vehicles have retained their value, buyers can use the money saved to find goodcar insurance deals.

A total of seven diesel cars were included in the top 10 list, with most being larger premium models than small superminis.
