Bumps and breakdowns follow snow

Snow has returned to parts of Scotland, creating risky driving conditions and some minor crashes.

Some road problems followed the fresh snowfall in Stirlingshire, Glasgow, Fife and Lanarkshire.

Motorists have been urged to take care and drive according to the conditions, which are worst in the east of the country.

Lothian and Borders Police said there had been "minor bumps" and warned motorists to drive carefully.

But not all parts of Scotland saw a return to wintry weather. There were "clear blue skies" over the Highlands and cold conditions made way for rain in Dumfries and Galloway.
