Speedway legend Barry Briggs MBE has raised £10,000 for charity through a draw which offered his Yamaha WR250R as the grand prize.
A total of 100 people bought the Ride Share Certificates priced at £100 each offered by the four-time World Speedway Champion from New Zealand.
The winning share certificate belonged to James Easter, from Ipswich, who was then awarded the bike at the Surrey headquarters of Yamaha Motor UK.
However, James said he does not intend to retain the bike, instead he plans to auction it off and give the money back to Briggo to "enhance his extremely worthwhile charity".
He added: "Frankly I do not deserve the prize. The bike is now a collectors' piece and should be enjoyed by someone who has the time and love of biking to make the most of it."
Briggs' ride generated around £69,000, benefiting 12 injured speedway riders, in the form of cheques of more than £5,000 each with remaining money going to Sport Relief.
