November will see the first UK deliveries of the hotly anticipated i3 electric car from BMW, and the car giant has announced its pricing in readiness of the launch.
For customers wanting to enter into a monthly payment agreement for the all-electric powered BMW i3, an initial £2,995 payment is required, followed by 36 monthly payments of £369 for a contract mileage of 24,000 miles.
The all-electric car will cost £25,680 OTR to buy outright, and a price is expected at a later date for the range extender version. This features an additional 650cc two-cylinder petrol engine to maintain the battery charge and extend the range to an approximate 180 miles on one tank of fuel. Car insurance and vehiclebreakdown cover will be required as normal.
AC Fast Charging is supplied as standard for the BMW i3. This allows for a 7.4Kw charge to power up the car from zero to 80% in just three hours, using the optional BMW i Wallbox.
The Wallbox offers "green" power options via selected BMW partners, and can be installed at the customer's home for emission-free home charging. AC Fast Charging is also now the most widespread charging option in the UK.
