A Gloucestershire baby will never forget where he was born - in a lay-by on the A48 at Westbury-on-Severn.
His mother, Kate Flello, was so grateful that he finally arrived safe and sound that she has named him Toby Westbury Sterry.
She had thought of naming him after her car, but as she says: "We wanted to call him something appropriate, and Toby Westbury is better than Toby Astra."
She told the Gloucestershire Echo how 5lb 6oz Toby arrived en route to hospital, with partner Brian Sterry acting as a roadside midwife.
Says Kate: "I did want a home birth, but not a car birth. It was so painful that I was chewing the seats.
"It's all a bit of a blur, but I do remember a double-decker Stagecoach bus going past and thinking 'I hope they can't see anything'."
As Kate hummed a birthday lay-la-by, Brian was able to hand over to a passing male accident-and-emergency nurse who stopped to help.
