Bentley unleashes GT Speed 2013

The Bentley Continental GT Speed has made its global debut in Russia, taking its place as the company's new performance flagship.

The new model has been unveiled at the Moscow International Auto Salon as part of a trio of headline displays that also include two cars new to the Russian market.

With a top speed of 205mph and capable of reaching 62mph in four seconds dead, the GT Speed is aimed at buyers who place performance potential as one of their highest priorities.

Powered by a twin-turbo 616bhp W12 engine adapted from the standard Continental GT, the GT Speed is no slouch but places equal importance on luxury and exquisite detailing.

As standard the GT Speed is equipped with Bentley's Mulliner Driving Specification layout as part of a hand-crafted cabin. Speed design cues mark it out with a distinctively and roguishly lavish sporting character typical of the Crewe-based firm's fastest cars, all of which require top of the rangecar insurance .

The chassis setup is unique to the GT Speed and the eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox has been given closer gear ratios for a more overtly sporting driving feel.
