It may be a "small family car in disguise" but the Nissan Qashqai had everything it takes and more to win the Best SUV title in the What Car? Used Car of the Year awards.
The magazine's judges bestowed the honour on the Qashqai for the third consecutive year as they say it remains the best compact crossover available in Britain.
They praised its reliability, value and style and What Car? editor-in-chief, Chas Hallett said owners are keen on its chunky look, the visibility they get from the driving seat and its array of excellent safety features. Drivers can expect fewerbreakdowns because of its strong reliability record, while they are also provided with plenty of in-car tech and equipment.
The model was launched six years ago and the awards keep rolling in. It won 13 prestigious accolades in its first year and it is the most decorated vehicle ever made in Britain. More than 1.8 million have been sold around the world.
Nissan GB managing director Jim Wright said the company and its workforce take pride in the Qashqai and everyone is pleased to hear that it is continuing to impress with its design and quality.
