Audi has unveiled a limited edition of its R8 supercar.
The new Audi R8 GT is lighter than the previous model R8 V10 by 100kg, at 1,525kg, and offers better performance with 552bhp and 398lb/ft of torque.
The supercar can now reach speeds of up to 199mph - the fastest road-going Audi ever - and can achieve acceleration of up to 62mph in 3.6 seconds.
The V10 powered coupe also boasts of R-Tronic sequential manual transmission.
And Audi engineers have modified its design on the exterior as well as the interiors. The interiors offer exclusive options, while the outer garb has been refined to include matt black grille with titanium grey surround, carbon fibre nose 'fins', a double-lipped splitter, smaller mirrors, revised side air ducts and a significantly reworked rear design with a fixed wing and larger diffuser.
Audi is offering the cars in body colours such as Samoa Orange metallic, Suzuka Grey metallic, Ice Silver metallic and Phantom Black pearl effect. Customers can choose from further shades under the Audi Exclusive personalisation programme.
UK customers will be able to buy 33 units of the R8 GT out of the 333 being offered worldwide at £142,585. Orders will open in the Summer and deliveries can be expected in Spring 2011.
